Goddess Moon Bowl

According to oral tradition, Italian witches in days of old, used a ritual tool known as the “Moon bowl”. Legend states that a large shell filled with water was used to symbolize Diana’s sacred lake, known as Nemi. A white shell was placed in the center of the bowl to represent the full moon shining on the lake. Ancient writings refer to Lake Nemi as “Diana’s mirror”. Today the Goddess Moon bowl is a tool for calling the Goddess. The bowl can be used at any time during the month for purposes of veneration and personal pathworking.
